Latest news

  • Many thanks to the ZMNH and UKE for hosting us, it was a real pleasure! We have relocated to the LIMES-Institute in Bonn, where we are excited about the next chapter. Peter also got appointed at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
  • Nusreen's cool paper on peptidergic circuit control of escape responses just came out in Current Biology.
  • Find Chun's small but neat follow-up study on how microtubule dynamics and Tao kinase might regulate dendrite branching here.
  • At last! Chun's nice paper on Tao kinase in sensory neuron development and function is online at Journal of Neuroscience.
  • Federico's paper on regulation of synaptic growth and connectivity by Tao kinase is online at Nature Communications. Check it out, it is a really cool story! And Federico successfully defended his Ph.D. in 2019. Congratulations!
  • Nina's paper on substrate-driven space-filling growth of dendrites is online at Cell Reports and made the cover! Congratulations and thanks to all contributors!
  • Our detailed protocols for mechano- and thermonociception in Drosophila larvae are out and freely available at Bio-Protocol.
  • Check out our Nature Neuroscience paper on modality-specific encoding of nociceptive behavior in Drosophila. Congrats to Chun, Meike, Nina, Bettina, Denan and Federico for the fantastic lab-wide effort and work! And thanks to the UKE for making it the paper of the month August 2017!
